Project Completed...almost!

Yesterday I went to the dentist to have my first cavity filled. I. do. not. like. it. at. all. :( I hate the way it felt when they were doing it and I hate the way it feels in my mouth now. And today my face feels like I have been punched.  I had a horrible experience when I had my wisdom teeth removed in 2008. None of the medicine they were using (novacaine, nitrous, etc.) worked on me and I was awake the entire time and felt most of it. Same thing with epidurals...didn't work the way they were suppose to.  So yesterday they had to numb me 6 times! I think that's probably what I am feeling today. It's not the actual tooth as it is the muscle and tissue. Yuck! I love my dentist...she is awesome, but I don't like the experience of anybody messing with my mouth.

After that 2 1/2 hours of agony, Clay and I came home to finish up a project.  Remember when we started the upstairs bedroom project? (Click here) No? Well, I would be pretty impressed if you did considering we started in early July of last year. :)

This was Pearson's old room. We moved him down the hall into the 'bonus room'. All the kids play & hang out in there now - so it really works out. Plus it is over the garage and they can jump as much as they want without the noise coming through the ceiling. (Click HERE to see his new room)

We measured and cut all the molding ourselves.

DIY Baby!

Almost finished!

We were working on the room for the future Voignier baby. After the miscarriage last June, I just didn't feel motivated to finish. But I am tired of walking past this room and seeing an unfinished project. Plus, Clay was being silly and quoted 'Field of Dreams', "If we build it...he will come." He always makes me laugh. :)

So this past weekend we worked on it & almost finished up! I'm so happy about it. It looks just the way I imagined.  Right now we will use the space for art and sewing.

We are going to finish up the touch-ups on the top and clean up the room.  We are keeping the bright blue on the top whether it's a boy or a girl or just an art room. :) Hopefully I will be able to show you the finished room on Friday or Saturday. Yay!

I hope everyone has a great Thursday...and I'm gonna go rest my swollen face for a while.

  1. Sorry about your painful experience at the dentist, I totally sympathize with you as I got the same issue, well almost, they use "double shots" on me.
The "Field of Dreams"...you know I remember it and to be honest I would expect you to just drop the project after the baby experience. But I agree with Clay, it will bring the baby soon, once finished. You're both still young and love each other so much so...practice, practice hehehe
