Doctors, Holidays & Trips - Oh My!

Lately - my days are a blur. Even at this moment, I really shouldn't be sitting here typing this post.   I should be buying our produce from the local grocer down the street. I am just tired. I need a little break.

Where have I been? Why have I been so slack on my blog lately? I have been volunteering at my kids' school, organizing girl scout activities, cleaning and re-cleaning my house and doing doctor appointments out the wazoo. I think everyone in this house has had 3 appointments at some point over the past few weeks.  We are trying to get all our yearly visits in before the end of December - some benefits do not rollover from year to year. The kids have had wellness visits to the pediatrician, Sophie to the vet, everyone to the dentist, etc..

I recently went to the eye doctor earlier this week. I am so thrilled I can now see! My prescription is minimal  but it makes a world of difference. The kids are a little upset because they think it means I am getting old.  Hopefully they will get use to me wearing them.

I can see!!!!
Pearson got a retainer last week.  He looks like such a big boy now.  I can already see a huge difference in his top teeth. Hopefully this will fix the cross-bite in the front.

Big Boy!

Pearson also had his yearly wellness visit and he weighs 75 lbs and has grown 3 1/2 inches in 5 months - Whoa! His Dr said he is very healthy :)

Yes - Halloween has come and gone. And I didn't post anything about our it - I. am. slack!!! Here are some of the pics of them carving the pumpkin with Dad and from trick-or-treating night.  They had a blast going through our neighborhood with their friends and racking up on candy. Pearson is always so polite and every house he went to - he would say, "Thank you Mam/Sir. I hope you have a good Halloween!" He is always such a sweet boy...true Boy Scout.

Getting ready to carve

Clay cutting out the top

Take the guts out...

Yuck!
They all took turns carving, but Killian was very serious about his turn.  He took his time and did a great job.

Performing surgery on the pumpkin :)
Killian & Mackenzie were vampires and Pearson was Wolverine.

Posing scary

He was wanting me to hurry up taking pictures so he could go!

Cheese

The candy was ridiculous!

Aside from all of this - our sweet little friend Lauren turned 6. She had her party at a local ranch. This was so much fun! Her Mom Kelly made the cake - she always does a terrific job.

After cake, we got to go on a long trailer ride pulled by horses and feed all different types of animals.

Killian loved getting to pet all of them.
This is my favorite...the boys made friends with a giraffe.

Well that is the 'short' of it. I have just finished buying Christmas gifts for the kids. I just want to be able to relax for a while...at least until Mackenzie's slumber party in a few weeks. ;)

I hope you guys have been doing well and I can't wait to catch up on your blogs. It's almost Friday! Yay!
