Today, I am 'embracing the camera' over at the anderson crew. Today it will be done a little differently. I am in most of these pics, but I want to document our nontraditional July 4th.
"One day, we won't be around.
Do we really just want to be a distant memory? Or do we want pictures to remind our loved ones of what we once were. Regardless of how we look or feel, I promise that they will treasure those photos one day." ~Emily
So, I encourage you to Embrace the Camera! :)
I hope you all had an awesome July 4th! Ours was okay. It definitely did not go as planned. Tuesday night, Clay and I stayed up until 2am watching movies and talking. Why so late? well, we knew he didn't have to get up for work...it was a holiday!
However, we had to get up at 6:30 a.m. anyway, because Mackenzie was throwing up. It was just baffling...no fever, the boys weren't sick...just Kenzie. She threw up all. day. long. I felt so bad for her.

Our original plan was to go out to eat and hang out near a local lake to watch a fireworks show. As you can see how miserable she was - that didn't happen.
Luckily the neighbors were shooting off fireworks and the kids could see them out of Pearson's bedroom window. :) I managed to snap a few shots of them.

So the night was almost over...and guess who decides to get sick like Kenzie?
Dad! Poor Clay...same symptoms. Hope the virus stops here. I made him take a picture with me - even though he was grumpy.
We are gonna make it up to the kids...maybe shoot fireworks off at my parent's house next weekend. They live in the country so we can do as many for as long as we like. :)
