Weekend Rewind

We stayed this past weekend at my parent's house...aka: Nonie's & Papa's House. :)
The kids love visiting, but always have a melt down when it's time to leave. It feels like time goes by way too fast when we are there.

This was a full weekend of a lot of swimming, a lot of eating and just relaxing!

Getting ready to jump in :)

Clay has been spending a great deal of time with the kids trying to teach them to swim.  He use to be on his High school swim team and a lifeguard -- so he is a really good swimmer.  I on the other hand, can swim just enough to survive...lol
Pearson was jumping off the diving board without any swimmies or life jacket.  I wasn't nervous, because Clay was right there waiting on him.  Here is a video of him doing a cannonball.  Sophie didn't like that -- I think she was fussing at him because she was worried.

Here are lot of pictures of them playing in the pool.

Dad doing the Jack-knife...Pearse thinks it's great!
Killian is all decked out to go under water

Chillin' in the elephant float

Say cheese!

After a long day of swimming, Mama made a big dinner - Fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, macaroni & cheese, stewed squash, with cut up tomatoes & cucumbers.  The tomatoes were from my garden! ;)

Mama & Daddy getting dinner ready

While Mama cooked, everyone was sleepy or sleeping!
Cat nap before dinner

Mackenzie sucking her thumb with her blankies in the kitchen.  Mama was letting her help out. :)

My Granny came over to eat and to see the kids.

Dinner was ready around 6:30, but as you can tell - it was hard for them to wake up and get to the table...lol

After dinner, I think the boys got their 2nd wind.

Tickling each other

Mackenzie?...not so much.

Goodnight

Sunday, we spent the morning swimming some more. And then we had a birthday party to attend around 3pm.  It was a pool party for one of my dearest friend's little boy.  Frankie is 10 years old...I can't believe it! It seems like yesterday he was 10 lbs and laying in my arms. Time is flying...

Happy 10th Birthday Frankie!!!

The kids had a blast at the pool party. I know they were pure exhausted by 6pm.

Pearse & Dad

When we got in the car to come home - everyone fell asleep.
Fighting sleep :) It took about 5 minutes.
They were so tired...even Sophie!

Link up so we can share our weekend stories!

Happy Monday!!!
